Venue

Join us for an immersive , hands-on exploration of Wetlock , the innovative wheel-throwing technique developed by Khalil Jannah to create monumental ceramic forms through layered construction, compression, and controlled instability. Led by the founder of Chasing Giants , this intensive workshop offers a rare glimpse into his bold artistic process—where scale, movement, and material tension come together to produce powerful sculptural works.

Participants will begin with live demonstrations by Khalil, followed by guided individual and collaborative practice. Through his process-driven approach, students will learn how to build, stack, and manipulate large clay forms directly on the wheel while maintaining structural integrity. The workshop culminates in the iconic “ Destruction Tetris ” finale, where creation and deconstruction merge into a dynamic performance. By the end of the program, participants will have gained hands-on experience in monumental-scale construction, deepened their technical confidence, and expanded their understanding of ceramics as both form and action.
