experimental lab
The FDP Experimental Lab is dedicated to material innovation, exploring the limits and potentials of clay through research, experimentation, and creative practice. It provides a platform for artists, designers, and researchers to push ceramics beyond its traditional roles, merging craft with technology, design, and sustainability. From testing clays and glazes to prototyping new applications, the Lab cultivates a spirit of discovery that challenges conventions while honoring material traditions. By encouraging collaboration across disciplines and building exchange programs with international labs, it positions Lebanon as a center for innovative ceramic research and creative exploration at the intersection of art and science.

technical school
The FDP Technical School is dedicated to advancing knowledge and skills in ceramics through structured, hands-on education. Offering programs in handbuilding, wheel throwing, sculpture, glazing, and porcelain, the school equips learners with both technical mastery and creative exploration. Our curriculum emphasizes craftsmanship, material research, and innovation, supported by professional instructors and a collaborative studio environment. By combining practical training with design thinking, the Technical School creates pathways for artistic growth, vocational opportunities, and community development. A key objective is building exchange programs with international schools, enabling Lebanese ceramicists to connect globally, share expertise, and access new creative opportunities.

rolling kiln
The Rolling Kiln is a mobile ceramic studio created to expand access to clay and firing facilities across Lebanon. Fully equipped with a kiln, tools, and teaching space, it brings professional ceramic practice to towns and villages where studios are not available. By traveling to remote areas, the Rolling Kiln supports schools, universities, municipalities, and cultural initiatives with on-site workshops, demonstrations, and collaborative projects. It provides artists and communities the opportunity to create, experiment, and fire their work without geographic limitations, turning mobility into accessibility and strengthening Lebanon’s creative landscape through connection, education, and shared artistic production.

reach
At FDP, we believe clay is more than a material -it is a catalyst for transformation, creativity, and resilience. Our community programs use ceramics to foster healing, inclusion, and opportunity across Lebanon’s challenging socio-economic landscape. We provide free or subsidized access for underprivileged children and youth, tailored workshops for people with disabilities and autism, and art therapy initiatives supporting trauma survivors of war, displacement, or addiction. By partnering with NGOs, schools, and mental health professionals, we empower participants with confidence, dignity, and skills while promoting sustainability, community engagement, and pathways into creative and vocational careers.

residencies
FDP Residencies invite local and international artists, designers, and researchers to immerse themselves in Lebanon’s creative ecosystem through clay. Our program provides studio space, technical resources, and mentorship to foster experimentation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and cultural exchange. Residents engage with our community through workshops, talks, and collaborative projects, enriching both practice and public dialogue. By connecting global perspectives with local craft traditions, FDP Residencies cultivate innovation, resilience, and knowledge-sharing. The program aims to strengthen Lebanon’s cultural landscape, expand professional opportunities for artists, and generate lasting impact through new works, research, and meaningful community engagement.
